Sirdar 5265 Stripe Cardigan - Knitting Pattern

Baby sweater with cabled raglan sleeve shaping, contrast colour striped yoke, ribbed welts and minimal seaming. Pattern also includes options to knit a button-up cardigan or jumper. Sized for newborn to 3 years. Sleeves are knit from cuff up, then joined with the body and continues with Raglan shaping. Borders and neckband are picked up and knitted in ribbing. Underarms and sleeves are seamed.

You will also need:

Up to 4 balls of 100% Merino 4ply yarn, 50g balls, 226 metres per ball. Recommended yarn: Sirdar "Snuggly 4ply". (Not stocked at Good Wool Hunting). However, DMC 100% Baby Merino is a good substitute.

(Cardigan: Size 0-6 months to 2 years old: Yarn A - 2 balls, Yarn B - 1 ball; Size 2 - 3 years old: Yarn A - 3 balls, Yarn B - 1 ball. For the Sweater: Size 0-6 months to 2 years old: Yarn A - 2 balls, Yarn B - 1 ball; Size 2 - 3 years old: Yarn A - 3 balls, Yarn B - 1 ball). 

Needles (sweater): 2.75mm and 3.25mm needles 

Needles (cardigan): 2.75mm 40 or 60cm circular needle and 3.25mm 40 or 60cm circular needle and one set 2.75mm double pointed needles and one set 3.25mm double pointed needles
